Club Penguin Times issue #400

Here's the latest issue of the Club Penguin Times. :)

FOUR TEAMS TO COMPETE
Gather your team for the Scare Games!

By Aunt Arctic - Are you scary? Do you have a fierce attitude? Are you an all star? Do you like cake? Three fraternities and one sorority are on the look out for the scariest scarers!

These games are not for the faint of heart. Only serious scarers will compete for the win! There is going to be some stern competition soon, so rival teams will be recruiting the best of the best. So gather your friends to practice your brand of scare! I caught up with a group of students in the Quad who were studying their scare techniques.

"We've been practicing our zombie snarls and gusher howls for weeks!" one told me. "This campus event is gonna be HUGE, so just when you think you've got a big enough scare... make it BIGGER! It can never be loud enough, fierce enough, or epic enough!"

Get your scares ready, the games begin - June 27!

NEWSFLASH

All of this and more - thanks to devoted readers like you! I wonder how many words you've read in 400 issues?

ASK AUNT ARCTIC

How long have you been writing stories?
-Howie Long

Writing stores has always come as naturally as playing Mancala. Thinking back, I have been writing as long as I can remember. I became editor in chief in 2008, but have been writing the newspaper for much longer.

Do you ever take a break from the newspaper?
-Art T. Cull

As you know, I am always busy researching the current events on the island. But luckily I get help from guest writers, and some anonymous sources. Although the paper is loads of fun, I have other commitments to attend to.

What does it take to write an article?
-Reece Urchin

Articles require a lot of research and fact checking. When I'm not researching, I'm following up on leads. When I'm not following leads, I'm editing, reviewing layout, and making tea. There is always work to be done!

Becoming a good writer takes a lot of hard work!

How do I become a writer?
-Ivana Wright

I'm always delighted to hear when someone is interested in persuing a career in writing! Becoming a writer is not an easy path to take, but it's definitely an exciting one! Here are a few tips that aspiring writers should always keep in mind:

Becoming a ninja with your words requires practice, patience, and pen power. I always encourage my reads to read, read, then read some more! A writer's success does not happen overnight, so keep working at it. Write every chance you get! Good luck! I look forward to reading your work.
