UK Magazine - Tea, Cake, and... Sprouts?

Hiya!

It's been great fun meeting you guys online over the past few weeks and playing the 'PUFFLE!' game with you! As many of you discovered, the special word was 'SPROUTS'! I have to admit, it was very strange having so many people shout that at me! As promised, here's a pic of me playing with some brill penguins at the Plaza over Christmas. Nice going, Omega4000 (and thanks for the seasonal well wishes, Jkgg2)! Thanks to everyone else who played the game with me! It was fun! :)

In other news, I thought I'd share this piece of a comic from the latest issue of the UK Magazine, which came out today. I was just flicking through the pages, read the first two panels of the comic and thought to myself, "I couldn't agree more, AA!" :D

Looks fun! I wonder what Daffodaily5 will think up next? She's really very creative.

Igloo Backyards - Coming January 22

Here's a message from Polo Field:

A few days ago we announced that members will soon be able to adopt dino puffles! 

 

I'm excited to tell you the team has created a backyard for your igloo! 

 

Everyone will be able to keep 10 puffles in their igloo and all their other puffles into their backyard (or keep all your pets in the backyard). What's awesome is that while your pets are in the backyard, their stats won't go down. 

 

Now members will be able to adopt up to 40 puffles! You're going to need all that space for the new puffles we create in the future...

 

 

Your igloo backyards will open on January 22! 

This sounds so awesome! I can't wait to see what they'll look like. A lot of people want to adopt even more than 20 puffles, so being able to adopt up to 40 puffles will be a fantastic feature.

Club Penguin Times issue #429 - What Does The Rock Say?

Here's the latest issue of the Club Penguin Times:

WHAT DOES THE ROCK SAY?

"Gary help! Ooga ooga!" -- A message waiting millions of years for an answer.

By Gary -- It looks like someone left me a message in a very peculiar place. My tests show me this carving is from prehistoric times! While some snowball enthusiasts were making supplies for their upcoming competition, they uncovered this dramatic message. I can by immediately and examined it.

I believe that not only is this an authentic carving from prehistoric Club Penguin, but that this is from my own ancestor, Garugg the Ugg Ugg. I can recognize his chisel work.

He must have written it into the rock in hopes that we would find it now. Even though Garugg is a caveguin, he has a scientific mind. He even invented a measuring club to help with his experiments. If he left a message for us, then there must be a scientific crisis!

I'll be studying this more to confirm my theory, but if I'm right, there will be time travel back to the past in our future!

Last week's party was WADDLES OF FUN! Our rockin' conga line found its way back to the train station where we collected EVEN MORE coins to donate to Coins for Change, woop woop! I think you all deserve a huge 'high five' for all your efforts over the past few weeks, you're all totally awesome! 

 

Now all the excitement of Christmas and New Year is over, its time to start a fresh new year, set some goals for 2014 and party in the summer sun - for everyone in the southern hemisphere that is, everyone else can just imagine the sun to stay warm ;)

 

So this week, lets all head down to the beach, celebrate summer and set some goals for this year! Come dressed in your best summer outfit – I'm thinking bikini's, hula skirts, sunglasses…. And tell me your goals for 2014, I'll let you know mine too!

 

Once the beach party is over, why don't we check out the lighthouse and have an epic band session… one of my 2014 goals might have something to do with an electric guitar…

 

Lets meet at the Beach on the Down Under server at 4pm (East Australian Standard Time) on Thursday 9th January, which will be 6pm for all of you in New Zealand. Don't forget, this is 9pm Penguin Standard Time on Wednesday 8th January for everyone over in the US and Canada.

Club Penguin UK: My Penguin Day Competition!

The team loves to hear about your favourite things to do on Club Penguin, including your fave games, costumes and places to hang out. 

 

So we're hosting a competition where UK players can print off our special template, fill in all the blanks with writing and pictures, then send to our team in Brighton. With the help of two members of the UK team, I'll choose one winner who will receive a 12 month membership for their penguin!

 

 

The special My Penguin Day template (and the competition rules) are available to download HERE!

 

Here's the IMPORTANT bit: Every submission needs to include a parents' contact information (they need to fill in the box underneath all the rules) before sending. The competition ends on the 27th of January, so all templates should be sent to us before then to be entered into the competition. The address can be found at the bottom of the template. We're only accepting entries from the UK and Ireland.

 

I can't wait to see all the amazing pictures and stories you've got to share! Have fun! :)
