My Thoughts: Dino Puffles & Igloo Backyards

Hey there, penguins! Woddylan here with a brand new post of My Thoughts! If you don't know what My Thoughts is, it's where I choose a new, trending topic in Club Penguin that I think would be interesting to share my thoughts on.

Today I'm going to be discussing Dino Puffles and Igloo Backyards. Let's begin with Dino Puffles.
Dino Puffles were released last Thursday, along with the second Prehistoric Party. Every day or two you can get a new Dino Puffle. When you get a Dino Puffle, their eggs have to be hatched first. There is a very unique way to do this. This is not a walkthrough, but you bring the Dino Puffle egg to the Volcano (an awesome new selection of rooms for the Prehistoric Party) and put the egg on the hottest rock 3 times. Each time will put a crack in it. On the third crack, you get your Dino Puffle! It's a very unique process and I like it a lot. The graphics of the Dino Puffles are amazing = Each one is very unique. Dino Puffles can also dig up Prehistoric themed things, which is a very nice touch. I've gotten a few furniture items as well as some clothing items such as the Archaeologist Outfit. There's really nothing not to love about these new prehistoric Puffles. They even have their own Puffle Digging animation!

Now let's discuss Igloo Backyards.
Igloo Backyards - they are a great new feature. You can now store up to 40 puffles. There is a ? button, so if you don't know what it is, it will tell you. The backyard is realistic in the way that they have the same background as your igloo. When your puffles are in the backyard, their status always stays the same. That's a nice feature right there. There's really nothing more to say - January has been a great month for Club Penguin.

What do you think I should discuss next?

Igloo Backyards Now Available to All!

The long-awaited Igloo Backyards are now available for all players, right at the convenience of your own igloo. When you first enter your igloo, you'll get this message:
Where are all my puffles?

Some of your puffles went to your backyard. Only 10 puffles can fit in your igloo. You can adopt up to 40 and keep them in your backyard!

This is fantastic! Click "OK", and the message will disappear. Then click on the Gate icon in the lower-right corner. You'll then be taken to your new Igloo Backyard!

When you first enter your Igloo Backyard, this message will appear:
Welcome to your backyard!

  • Now adopt up to 40 puffles!
  • You can move puffles between your igloo and backyard
  • Your puffles' stats stay the same while they're in your backyard
Click "OK", and the message will disappear, and you'll be in your Igloo Backyard!

One last thing before we finish: there's a slightly different way to take care of your puffles now! Just click on them, and you'll get this:

Pretty awesome! The "Leash" icon allows you to easily start walking your puffles, the "Comb" icon means you can take care of your puffle in more detail, and the "Arrow" icon means you can move it to either your igloo to your Backyard or vice versa.

This is fantastic! Huge props to the Club Penguin Team on this one.

Igloo Backyards - Coming January 22

Here's a message from Polo Field:
A few days ago we announced that members will soon be able to adopt dino puffles!

I'm excited to tell you the team has created a backyard for your igloo!

Everyone will be able to keep 10 puffles in their igloo and all their other puffles into their backyard (or keep all your pets in the backyard). What's awesome is that while your pets are in the backyard, their stats won't go down.

Now members will be able to adopt up to 40 puffles! You're going to need all that space for the new puffles we create in the future...

Your igloo backyards will open on January 22!
This sounds so awesome! I can't wait to see what they'll look like. A lot of people want to adopt even more than 20 puffles, so being able to adopt up to 40 puffles will be a fantastic feature.
